Atlanta Trip February 7-11, 2022 – Around Atlanta

A quick four night trip to Atlanta, Georgia to explore the Georgia Aquarium and see where Tom spent a month in the Summer of 1996 while working at the Olympics.

After a day of travel it is always nice to relax with a drink and dinner at a local restaurant. Tonight we dined at Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria. Tom had a beer while Alicia tried the Blackberry Bramble which was: Ford’s Dry Gin, Black Raspberry Liquor, House-Made Sour Mix, Basil, Topped with Sparkling Water. We split custom pizza and enjoyed our first night in the city.
Same spot 25 years apart this is one of the locations Tom worked. This station was a frozen lemonade stand at the exit to one of the major subway stations. Other areas Tom worked in were inside restricted buildings so we couldn’t get access for pictures. These included a coffee shop, a bakery counter, a prep kitchen that served multiple restaurants and food stands, and of course, a frozen Lemonade “village”.

While we visited The World of Coca-Cola we had a nice view of the entrance to Georgia Aquarium. When the Project began to have an Aquarium built in Atlanta Coca-Cola company donated part of the land they owned at Pemberton Place.
